The uMshwathi Regional Bulk Water Supply Scheme Phase 2 was delivered for uMngeni Water as part of a new regional bulk water supply system in KwaZulu-Natal. The project linked key infrastructure between Wartburg and Dalton, supporting improved supply to the wider uMshwathi area.
The works included a bulk steel rising main, two booster pump stations, a major reinforced concrete reservoir, associated chambers, mechanical installations, tie-ins, testing, and commissioning. Delivery required coordinated management of pipeline construction, reservoir works, pump station infrastructure, and multiple interfaces across the route.
The completed scheme strengthened the regional water transfer network and reflects Icon Construction’s capability in delivering integrated pipeline, reservoir, and pump station infrastructure for long-term service reliability.
