The Lower Usuthu Smallholder Irrigation Project II Lot 5(a) Batch 2 was delivered for the Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise as part of a wider agricultural development programme. The project involved bush clearing, land preparation, supply and installation of a new irrigation system, testing and commissioning for the Vulamatfuba Scheme and demonstration plot.
The works included first and second ripping, heavy and light discing, furrowing, seed bed preparation for banana fields, irrigation pipelines, submains, raisers, cluster houses, mechanical fittings, filters, fertigation systems, pumps and chambers for air valves, isolation valves, scour valves and flow meters. The completed works helped convert prepared agricultural land into functional irrigated production areas, demonstrating Icon Construction’s capability in integrated land preparation and irrigation infrastructure.
