The Jozini / Ingwavuma Regional Water Treatment Works project was delivered for Mhlathuze Water, now uMngeni uThukela Water, in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The project involved the construction of a new 40 ML/day regional water treatment facility, forming part of a broader programme to improve water supply to surrounding communities.
The works included civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components, together with bulk earthworks, treatment structures, pipework, and associated site infrastructure. Construction was carried out within an environmentally sensitive setting, requiring careful site preparation, coordination of specialist trades, and attention to long-term operational requirements.
The completed treatment works provided a critical foundation for improved regional water supply and reflects Icon Construction’s capability in delivering large-scale, community-focused water infrastructure projects.
