The Ezulwini Gravity Main Pipeline project was delivered for Swaziland Water Services Corporation as part of the Ezulwini Sustainable Water Supply System. The project formed a key phase in delivering water from Mbabane into the Ezulwini Valley and strengthening the area’s long-term bulk water supply.
The works included the construction of a gravity main pipeline, reinforced concrete valve chambers, steel pipework, access roads, connections to the existing network, erosion protection, and reinstatement along the pipeline route. Work through Ezulwini town required careful coordination around underground services and existing infrastructure to minimise disruption.
The completed pipeline improved bulk water transfer capacity into the Ezulwini Valley and reflects Icon Construction’s ability to deliver cross-border water infrastructure in active urban and semi-rural environments.
